CONNECTICUT STATE FIRE SAFETY CODE

Sec. 10: Section 29-292-9d of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies is amended as follows:

(NEW) Chapter Twenty of the Connecticut State Fire Safety Code is amended by adding the following:

(Amd) 20-3.5.2 All new lodging and rooming houses shall be protected throughout by an approved, automatic sprinkler system installed in accordance with Section 20-3.5.1.

Exception No. 1: If every sleeping room has a door opening directly to the outside of the building at street or ground level, or has a door opening directly to the outside leading to an exterior stairway that meets the requirements of Section 20-2.1.1.

Exception No. 2: Bed and breakfasts.
