CONNECTICUT STATE FIRE SAFETY CODE

Section 1: Section 29-292-9d of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies is amended as follows:

(NEW) Chapter Three of the Connecticut State Fire Safety Code is amended to add the following:

(Add) Bed and Breakfast or Bed and Breakfast Establishment. An existing building that:

provides sleeping accommodations to the public for a fee for no more than 16 persons with guest rooms limited to the first or second floor of the structure, and

the owner occupies the facility or an adjacent property as his/her primary place of residence, and

where cooking or food warming of any type is not allowed in guest rooms, and

the building is a maximum of three stories in height and does not contain a mixed occupancy.
